Cronulla Bathroom Renovations is a referral service. We do not carry out building, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling or asbestos removal work. Enquiries submitted through this website are passed on to the licensed builder we work in partnership with.
The licensed builder
Renovation work is carried out in partnership with Coastal Renovation Group, a licensed NSW builder. Licence and insurance details are provided on request.
Please verify the licence on the NSW Fair Trading public register before work begins, and ask for a current certificate of insurance. Your owners corporation may ask for both.
The builder provides the quote, contracts with you, performs the work and is responsible for it, including any workmanship warranty and any home building compensation cover required by law.
What we do not represent
Beyond the builder named above, we make no representation that any contractor holds a particular licence, insurance or accreditation, and we do not monitor insurance over time. Check documents yourself before work starts.
Asbestos
Older houses and apartment buildings on the peninsula may contain asbestos. This website does not remove asbestos, and a builder's licence is not an asbestos removal licence. Asbestos removal is carried out by a licensed asbestos removalist under NSW requirements. If anyone proposes to strip a pre-1990 bathroom without testing suspect material, seek another opinion.
Strata, council and plumbing compliance
The builder can explain what owners corporations, Sutherland Shire Council or certifiers typically require, including for strata bathrooms, window changes on bushfire-prone or foreshore sites, and outdoor shower drainage. Decisions rest with those bodies and, for plumbing, with licensed plumbers working to the applicable rules. No one on this website can guarantee an approval or its timing.
Corrosion and coastal conditions
Information about coastal-grade fittings is general guidance. No fitting is immune to salt exposure, and manufacturers' warranties and care instructions apply. Rinsing and maintenance affect how long fittings last.
Hidden conditions
Damage behind tiles or under floors cannot be confirmed until the room is opened. Quotes deal with this through stated allowances and variation methods.
