What we do
Cronulla Bathroom Renovations handles enquiries for bathroom, ensuite, laundry and outdoor shower renovations on the Cronulla peninsula and around Port Hacking. When you get in touch, we find out about the room, arrange a measure, and a written quote is prepared by the licensed builder who would carry out the job.
We are a referral website rather than a building company. We do not employ trades directly and we do not hold a builder's licence. It is better to say that at the start.
Who builds it
Renovation work is carried out in partnership with Coastal Renovation Group, a licensed NSW builder. Licence and insurance details are provided on request.
You can verify a NSW builder's licence on the Fair Trading public register. It shows the licence class, whether it is current, when it expires and whether there has been any disciplinary action. Strata committees often want those details too, so it is worth having them early.
Plumbing, electrical, waterproofing and asbestos removal each require their own licences in NSW, and are carried out by appropriately licensed trades.
Why beach-side bathrooms
A bathroom within a few streets of the ocean faces conditions an inland bathroom does not:
- Salt air that corrodes tapware, screen hardware and fan grilles
- Sand that wears seals, clogs wastes and scratches finishes
- Summer humidity and heavy use from beach days and holiday guests
- Strata buildings with owners corporations, lifts, stairs and neighbours below
- Rentals and holiday lets that need tough, repairable fit-outs and tight schedules
- Steep waterfront blocks and remote villages that add access and travel time
A renovation brief that ignores those conditions tends to look good at handover and tired within a few summers. The advice on this site is built around them.
What you will not see here
- Reviews or ratings. This is a new website and has none to display. We have not invented any.
- Claims about how many bathrooms have been built or how long anyone has been in business.
- Prices quoted over the phone. A unit on the fourth floor of a walk-up and a waterfront ensuite are not the same job, and neither can be priced without a visit.
- Guaranteed approvals. The owners corporation, Sutherland Shire Council or a certifier makes those decisions.
How it works
Measure, written quote, approvals where needed, selections locked, then the work. Deposits are capped at 10 per cent in NSW, and for work over $20,000, home building compensation cover must be in place before one is requested. See how we work and renovation costs.
